Welcome to the Chirp Chasers Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page! As a team from the Chippewa County Land Conservancy we've always loved birds, and believe they're important to us in many ways. We want to help ensure that birds who spend all or part of the year in Wisconsin have all the resources they need to survive and thrive. The Conservancy's protected lands provide nearly 1500 acres of important habitat for breeding and nesting.
To raise support and awareness for Wisconsin's birds, we've joined this walkathon-style fundraiser and will try to find as many bird species as possible on a single day. We have scheduled our event on Saturday, May 23, right at the height of the migration north. We'll be visting our protected properties to find the birds that live there, and share our love of birds with the community.
Please consider supporting us with a pledge per species or donation. No amount is too small--even small contributions add up! This year the Great Wisconsin Birdathon aims to raise $100,000 for bird conservation in Wisconsin. Your contribution supports the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund. (Just click the big Donate Now button!)
The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $500,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012. And even better news is the Chippewa County Land Conservancy will share half of the contributions you make to this event. A win-win for sure! So thank you for your consideration.
AND, if you want to join the fun and get out to visit one of the Chippewa County Land Conservancy preserves, you can join the team yourself! Just click on the Join This Team button on our team page to get started!
