Welcome to my Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page! I help coordinate Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature, a partnership of Parks and Partner Groups that co-sponsor regularly scheduled Free Family Friendly Bird and Nature Outings in 8 Madison Urban Parks and Natural Areas every month, the annual Madison FUN partners co-sponsored Madison Bird and Nature Festival and other Nature Recreation and Nature Education activities.
I grew up on a Wisconsi farm and have always loved birds, and believe they're important to us in many ways. I want to help ensure that birds who spend all or part of the year in Wisconsin have all the resources they need to survive and thrive.
To raise support and awareness for Wisconsin's birds, I've joined this walkathon-style fundraiser in which my teammates and I will try to find as many bird species as possible on a single day between April 15 and October 15. We'll visit our favorite Wisconsin natural areas, find the birds that live there, and share our love of birds with the community.
Please consider supporting me with a pledge per species or donation. No amount is too small--even small contributions add up! This year the Great Wisconsin Birdathon aims to raise $100,000 for bird conservation in Wisconsin. Your contribution supports the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund.
The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $500,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012. We have done so much, but there is still so much more to do. Thank you for joining me in making a sustainable future for Wisconsin's birds!
