Welcome to the Madtown Peep's Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page! Our team consists of three parents and our respective kiddos. We are returning for a third year of scouring our east Madison neighborhood for birds (and maybe a little ice cream). Of course this year will look a little different, and may involve the use of walkie talkies to ensure social distancing between our family units!
To raise support and awareness for Wisconsin's birds, we have joined this walkathon-style fundraiser in which my teammates and I will try to find as many bird species as possible on a single day in June (TBD). We'll walk along the shore of Lake Monona, from Yahara Park to Olbrich Park, find the birds that live there, and share our love of birds with the community.
Please consider supporting us with a pledge per species or donation. No amount is too small--even small contributions add up! This year the Great Wisconsin Birdathon aims to raise $100,000 for bird conservation in Wisconsin. Your contribution supports the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund.
The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $500,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012. We have done so much, but there is still so much more to do. Thank you for joining me in making a sustainable future for Wisconsin's birds!
