Welcome to the McFarland Bird Festival's 2020 Birdathon fundraising page!
To raise support and awareness for Wisconsin's birds, I've joined this walkathon-style fundraiser in which I will try to find as many bird species as possible on a single day this Saturday April 18th. We'll visit our favorite McFarland natural areas, find the birds that live there, and share our love of birds with the community.
Please consider supporting me with a pledge per species or donation. No amount is too small--even small contributions add up!
50% of the funds raised will support the Friends of McFarland Parks. We are hoping to use the funds to support purchasing a spotting-scope system that could be permanently mounted at the Lewis Park viewing platform overlooking Lower Mud Lake in McFarland. The other 50% of funds raised go to support the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund listed below.
The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $500,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012. We have done so much, but there is still so much more to do. Thank you for joining me in making a sustainable future for Wisconsin's birds!
I have bird feeders outside my window. I'm happy to help!
This was a wonderful source of entertainment to my family during Safer at Home, so thank you for making the effort to share updates!
Congratulations to the Birders, especially son Shawn and Granddaughter Erin
Good luck... love you!
Go team Miller!!
