Welcome to the Reckless Wrens' Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page! We have always loved birds, and believe they're important to us in many ways. We want to help ensure that birds who spend all or part of the year in Wisconsin have all the resources they need to survive and thrive.
This is the Reckless Wrens' 8th year in the Great Wisconsin Birdathon. We plan to head out sometime in May to bird at Goose Pond and other Madison Audubon Society locations in Columbia County (as well as some local hotspots). Our goals are, 1) to find as many species as we can in a 24-hour time period. 2) Raise funds for the Bird Protection Fund and Madison Audubon. And 3) Have fun!
Please consider supporting us with a pledge per species or donation. No amount is too small -- even small contributions add up! This year the Great Wisconsin Birdathon aims to raise $100,000 for bird conservation in Wisconsin. Half of your contribution supports the Madison Audubon Society and half to the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund.
The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $500,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012. We have done so much, but there is still so much more to do. Thank you for joining us in making a sustainable future for Wisconsin's birds!
