"A Walk in the Parks"

    Noel J. Cutright Bird Club

Welcome to our Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page!

 The NJC Bird Club members will be birding public lands in Ozaukee & Washington Counties, these will include the many local city parks, county parks, as well as State Parks and the Land Trust properties (OWLT). We enjoy a variety of diverse habitats in our club's area and members will sign up for a park / property then search for as many species as possible on their given day.

This year our club goal is 150 species.

Will you support our efforts with a pledge or donation ?

No amount is too small--even small contributions add up! This year the Great Wisconsin Birdathon aims to raise $90,000 for bird conservation and research in Wisconsin. Your contribution supports the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund, including:

  • Conservation of endangered Kirtland's Warblers and Whooping Cranes;
  • Research, education, and habitat protection in Costa Rica and Peru;
  • Monitoring of shorebirds, waterbirds, and waterfowl on Lake Michigan by the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory.
  • Community engagement and habitat protection through Bird City Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Stopover Initiative.
  • The Wisconsin Bird Monitoring Program and Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II.

The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $400,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012! We have done so much, but there is still so much more to do. Thank you for joining us in making a sustainable future for Wisconsin's birds!
