Great Wisconsin Birdathon 2019
Please note: donations are not being accepted by this participant at this time.

Goal $300.00

Welcome to our Great Wisconsin Birdathon fundraising page. We want to help ensure that birds who spend all or part of the year in Wisconsin have all the resources they need to survive and thrive.  The Great Wisconsin Birdathon has raised over $400,000 for Wisconsin's birds since 2012!

To raise support and awareness for Wisconsin's birds, we've joined this walkathon-style fundraiser in which out team will try to find as many bird species as possible, on a single day, May 12th. The Mavens are a group of 60-something women who have been participating in the birdathon since it's inception. We'll be birding again along the Wiscosnin River on the Mazomanie Oak Barrens in northwest Dane County.

Please consider supporting us with a pledge or donation. No amount is too small--even small contributions add up!  Your contribution supports the priority projects of the Bird Protection Fund, including:

  • Conservation of endangered Kirtland's Warblers and Whooping Cranes;
  • Research, education, and habitat protection in Costa Rica and Peru where some of Wisconsin's nesting birds spend the winter;
  • Monitoring of shorebirds, waterbirds, and waterfowl on Lake Michigan and in east-central Wisconsin;
  • Community engagement and habitat protection through Bird City Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Stopover Initiative, which provides migrating birds with places to rest and feed;
  • The Wisconsin Bird Monitoring Program and Wisconsin Breeding Bird Atlas II.

Thank you.
